This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Girl is convinced by her two friends to have her schizophrenic stepsister committed. Cut to two years later, crazy stepsister contacts her famous author stepsister, the author's actor friend, and soon-to-be mom second friend. The three agree to meet up with crazy at an apartment crazy rents that night. Cut to later that night, crazy has dirt on all three girls that could ruin their careers/lives. They all get into a fight, and crazy gets killed. The girls are somehow convinced that they need to dispose of the body and any evidence, despite crazy being a complete psycho freak. Cut to three months later, author starts hallucinating and wants to confess. The other two say that's a bad idea. Some…

Ummmmm what in the actual fuck was up with the ending. And why did the girls only look hot in that end scene? Any one else? I’m confused. Like really really really confused.

Can someone please explain to me what actually happened in this movie? I mean other than some unintentional hilarious moments, this movie was a disaster. How this actually got a small theater release just astounds me, the acting and writing were a joke. The editing was horrendous, the movie pretty much had no plot at all. You want to know the sad thing, this is one of those movies that a lot of horror sites hyped up. So I was definitely expecting something now I'm questioning if I even saw the same movie. Do yourself a favor and give this one a huge skip...

‘Genie’ Review: Wishing for a Better Movie
Melissa McCarthy grants unlimited magical requests in this holiday fantasy film.
- Share full article

By Glenn Kenny
In conventional, old-fashioned stories about wish-granting genies, the number of wishes is limited to three, the better to deliver a solid punchline or useful lesson. In our consumerist and content-crazy times, a mere three wishes won’t do. “Genie,” a new film directed by Sam Boyd, stars Melissa McCarthy as Flora, a genie unleashed by an overworked dad as he massages an old jewel box he tried to pass off as a birthday present for the daughter whose celebration he missed.
Flora offers Bernard (Paapa Essiedu) unlimited wishes by which to save his marriage, delight his daughter, take revenge on his bad boss (Alan Cumming) and enhance his home art collection. Predictably, at least if you’ve seen “Aladdin,” Flora is an ancient being who speaks colloquial American English with a deft command of idioms, but also doesn’t know what pizza is. Her riffing is typically McCarthyesque but feels strained at times. Guessing her new master’s desires, she reaches: “Girls? Gold? Golden girls?” When pressed, would McCarthy claim credit for that bit, or would the screenwriter Richard Curtis?
The flights of fancy Curtis (“ Love, Actually ”) concocts here include the “Mona Lisa” finding a new home in New York. And the ostensible rules of the fantasy shift according to mere plot whim: While Flora supposedly has the power to manifest anywhere, when Bernard is pinched for art theft, Flora can’t help him on account of their physical separation.
Fantasy movies are of course free to be far-fetched, but some of the plot turns here are so wide as to suggest shrugging contempt. The holiday themes feel arbitrary and tacked on; one guesses the script was rescued from Curtis’s bottom drawer and spruced up with some Christmas fairy dust. The story, finally, is only about a man who learns the true meaning of punctuality.
Also, the flying carpet special effects are lousy.
Genie Rated PG for a little salty language. Running time: 1 hour 34 minutes. Watch on Peacock.

.css-1ylq17j em,.css-1ylq17j i{font-variation-settings:'ital' 1;}.css-1ylq17j strong,.css-1ylq17j b{font-weight:700;} ‘Maestro’: Everything to Know About Bradley Cooper’s Leonard Bernstein Movie
All interviews were conducted in early 2023.
The lights are going down and the orchestra is tuning up — it’s almost time for Maestro to take the stage.
Maestro is directed by Bradley Cooper ( A Star Is Born ), who co-wrote the script with Josh Singer. Cooper also stars as cultural icon Leonard Bernstein; the film focuses on Bernstein’s lifelong relationship with actress Felicia Montealegre Cohn Bernstein (Carey Mulligan). You can catch a glimpse of their very first meeting and the ensuing love story in the new trailer for the film above.
Find out more about Maestro below before it streams on Netflix in December.

What is Maestro about?
Maestro is a towering and fearless love story chronicling the lifelong relationship between Leonard Bernstein and Felicia Montealegre Cohn Bernstein. A love letter to life and art, Maestro at its core is an emotionally epic portrayal of family and love.
“I think people will see the complexity of marriage and the many forms love can take,” co-writer Singer said. “I think those are both powerful themes.”
When is the Maestro release date?
Maestro is now screening in select theaters before streaming on Netflix on Dec. 20.

Who is in the cast of Maestro ?
Carey mulligan.
Mulligan takes on the role of celebrated Broadway actress Felicia Montealegre Cohn Bernstein, who marries Bernstein after a whirlwind courtship. The two support each other’s ambitions and raise three children together. “It was just the most exciting part and felt akin to some of the roles that I've been privileged to play on stage, but had not found the equivalent of on screen so much,” Mulligan said. “It was so rich and there was so much breadth to her character and so much change in her life. I was just amazed that [Bradley] was asking me to do it.”
Mulligan has received two Oscar nominations , for her performances in An Education and Promising Young Woman . After Maestro , she’ll next be seen in the upcoming Adam Sandler film Spaceman .

Bradley Cooper
Cooper, who also directed, co-wrote, and produced Maestro , plays celebrated composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein. The film follows Bernstein from his unexpected Carnegie Hall debut to the autumn years of his life. It’s Cooper’s second film as a director, after 2018’s luscious remake of A Star Is Born . He took on the responsibility of portraying Bernstein with excitement and gratitude. “In A Star Is Born , the nuclear weapon was always Lady Gaga's voice,” said Cooper. “For Maestro I figured it was mine to mess up because I had a nuclear weapon and that's Leonard Bernstein's music. Just the breadth of it, how diverse it is, and how moving it is.”
Cooper has been nominated for nine Academy Awards — four for acting performances ( Silver Linings Playbook, American Sniper, American Hustle, A Star Is Born ), four for Best Picture ( American Sniper, A Star Is Born, Joker, Nightmare Alley ), and one for his A Star Is Born screenplay.

Hawke plays Jamie Bernstein, Leonard and Felicia’s eldest daughter. As she grows up, Jamie is caught up in pernicious rumors about her father’s love life that threaten her understanding of their relationship.
Hawke is the daughter of Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman; she made her acting debut in the 2017 Little Women miniseries on the BBC. In 2019 she made her first appearance as Scoops Ahoy! employee Robin Buckley in Season 3 of Stranger Things — we last saw Robin watching Upside Down spores fall on Hawkins in the Season 4 finale.

Sarah Silverman
Leonard’s patient sister Shirley is played by Emmy-winning comedian and actress Sarah Silverman.
Silverman rose to fame as the star and co-creator of The Sarah Silverman Program , for which she nabbed her first two Emmy nominations.

Gideon Glick
Glick plays Tommy Cathron, a young protege of Leonard.
Glick is a familiar face for Broadway audiences; he’s appeared in productions of Spring Awakening, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark , and To Kill a Mockingbird (for which he was nominated for a Tony Award ).

Bomer appears as David Oppenheim, a musical contemporary of Leonard’s early in both of their careers (Oppenheim was a clarinet player and classical music producer).
Bomer rose to prominence on the soap opera All My Children , before making his film debut in Flightplan starring Jodie Foster. He’s had a long-running collaboration with star producer Ryan Murphy, starting with American Horror Story and running through films like The Normal Heart and The Boys in the Band .

Happiness is a Warm TV
‘a biltmore christmas’ premieres sunday on hallmark. here’s when and how to watch.
By Brooke Cain
The homegrown holiday movie we’ve been anticipating for nearly a year is about to land.
“A Biltmore Christmas” will premiere on the Hallmark Channel on Sunday.
The movie, which was filmed entirely at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville and is set there as well, was announced last December and filming took place in January.
A Christmas movie set at Biltmore just feels right, as the place is so closely associated with the holiday.
The estate, built by George Vanderbilt, was first opened to Vanderbilt friends and family on Christmas Eve in 1895, according to the Biltmore Estate. A major tourist attraction year-round, the estate is especially popular during Christmas , when it is decked to the hilt with holiday trim. Earlier this month, Condé Nast Traveler named Asheville one of the best places on Earth to spend Christmas , due in large part to the presence of the Biltmore.
The movie really leans into the Biltmore Christmas history and overall vibe.
It stars Bethany Joy Lenz as Lucy, a screenwriter hired to write the script for a remake of a classic holiday movie called “His Merry Wife!” which was filmed in 1947 at the Biltmore (this is all part of the plot, that movie doesn’t actually exist). She writes a less happy ending than the original movie, so a studio exec sends Lucy to the Biltmore for inspiration.
While at the Biltmore, Lucy accidentally travels back in time to the 1947 set of “His Merry Wife!” and uses the opportunity to “uncover the truth about the movie’s original ending.” She meets Jack (played by Kristoffer Polaha), one of the film’s stars, and forms a deep connection with him. But, as all fans of time-travel fiction know, her presence at the 1947 Biltmore shoot disrupts the natural progression of events and puts the entire film production — and the futures of those involved — in jeopardy. So, before she can return to present day Biltmore, she must make things right.
But is there a romance? Why, of course! According to previously released plot info, 1947 Lucy has a chance to go home to present day, “but must say goodbye to the man who might be her soulmate unless some Christmas magic can keep the curtain from closing on their love story.”
How do I know those actors?
Bethany Joy Lenz previously starred in “One Tree Hill” and has appeared in other Hallmark movies: “Poinsettias for Christmas,” “Royal Matchmaker,” “Five Star Christmas,” “A Valentine’s Match” and “An Unexpected Christmas.”
Kristoffer Polaha is very familiar to Hallmark fans. He has been in seven Hallmark movies and is a star of the seven-part Hallmark Movies & Mysteries film series “Mystery 101.”
Yes, Biltmore is a real place. Some facts:
For those unfamiliar Hallmark watchers Googling during the movie: Yes, Biltmore Estate is a real place.
Here are some facts about the North Carolina landmark, courtesy of the Biltmore:
▪ The house is huge: The mansion itself is 175,000 square feet (about four acres of floor space) with 250 rooms: 35 bedrooms, 43 bathrooms and 65 fireplaces. On display inside the French Renaissance chateau is the Vanderbilt family’s original collection of art and furniture.
▪ The grounds are massive: The mansion sits on 8,000 acres of land (125,000 acres when Vanderbilt first owned it, but parts were sold to the US government to establish Pisgah National Forest). Of the current 8,000 acres, 75 of those are formal and informal gardens designed by renowned American landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted.
▪ It has its own winery: The estate also boasts its own winery, thanks to the foresight of George Vanderbilt’s grandson, William A.V. Cecil, who began planting grapevines in the early 1970s. Biltmore’s Winery was established in 1985.
Other movies filmed at Asheville’s Biltmore
Among the most significant Biltmore-filmed movies is “Being There,” a highly acclaimed 1979 dark comedy starring Peter Sellers and Melvyn Douglas. Douglas won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for the film, and Sellers was nominated for Best Actor. The Biltmore house is the grand estate belonging to Douglas’ character, where Sellers’ character recovers after an accident.
The 1957 classic film “The Swan,” starring Grace Kelly, was also filmed at Biltmore, with the estate serving as the palatial home of Princess Alexa (Kelly).
Parts of “Forrest Gump, ” “Richie Rich,” “Hannibal,” “The Last of the Mohicans ” and “Patch Adams” were also filmed at Biltmore.

Deadpool 3’s plot teases perfectly flip the original x-men movie.
The suspected storyline of Deadpool 3 features the team-up of Deadpool and Wolverine, and seems to reflect Fox's original X-Men film brilliantly.
- Deadpool 3 may mirror the storyline of Fox's X-Men film in 2000, bringing together Deadpool and Wolverine in a journey across the MCU's multiverse similarly to Wolverine and Rogue's original adventure.
- Deadpool's dynamic with Wolverine will be different from the latter's relationship with Rogue, less sweet and more comedic, adding excitement to the adventure.
- Deadpool 3's similarities to the X-Men franchise make sense as a farewell to the Fox X-Men Universe, creating a full-circle moment for Hugh Jackman's Wolverine and paving the way for new mutant stories in the MCU's future.
Fox's original X-Men film may be perfectly mirrored in Marvel Studios' Deadpool 3 , if the Phase 5 film's suspected storyline comes to fruition. Following Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox in 2019, Ryan Reynolds' Wade Wilson, a.k.a. Deadpool, was the first character confirmed to be making the permanent move to the MCU proper, after his appearances in Fox's X-Men Universe in 2016's Deadpool and 2018's Deadpool 2 . Further Deadpool films had been planned at Fox, which were expected to focus on Deadpool's X-Force team, but these plans were changed when Reynolds confirmed the development of Deadpool 3 in 2019, with Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige reinforcing this announcement in 2021.
Since then, Shawn Levy's Deadpool 3 has taken some major steps forward, including the announcement that Hugh Jackman would be reprising his role of James "Logan" Howlett, a.k.a. Wolverine. Jackman previously retired from the role after his character's death in 2017's Logan , but Deadpool 3 will mark Wolverine's debut in the MCU proper , and will see him and Reynolds' Deadpool come together for the first time since 2009's reviled X-Men Origins: Wolverine . With Deadpool and Wolverine coming together in Deadpool 3 , rumors have begun to circulate regarding the storyline for the upcoming Phase 5 project , which may interestingly mirror the events of 20th Century Fox's original X-Men film from 2000.
Deadpool 3 May Actually Be Improving Hugh Jackman's Wolverine In 1 Critical Way
Deadpool 3's plot repeats x-men 2000's opening.
In the opening moments of 2000's X-Men , Jackman's Wolverine forms a bond of friendship with Anna Paquin's young Marie, a.k.a. Rogue, a mutant with the ability to draw the life force from other individuals. Wolverine's partnership with Rogue - who would go on to become a key element in Magneto's X-Men plan - eventually brought him into contact with Professor X and the X-Men team , kick-starting the events of Fox's entire X-Men franchise . In a way, this is also the suspected storyline for Deadpool 3 , though instead of teaming up with Rogue, Wolverine will find himself paired with Wade Wilson's Deadpool on a journey across the MCU's multiverse.
Deadpool's obsession with Wolverine has been evident since this version's debut in 2016's Deadpool .
Deadpool 3 is set to make one huge change to this storyline, however, as his dynamic with Deadpool will be remarkably different from the one he shared with Rogue. Wolverine became something of a father figure to Rogue, protecting her and guiding her throughout the original X-Men trilogy, yet his relationship with Deadpool will surely be less saccharine. Deadpool's obsession with Wolverine has been evident since this version's debut in 2016's Deadpool , though it's unlikely that this passion is reciprocated by the clawed mutant, which will flip X-Men's original Wolverine storyline on its head and make for a hilarious and exciting adventure for the two seasoned antiheroes.
Why Deadpool 3's Original X-Men Similarities May Be Intentional
The idea that Deadpool 3 is taking inspiration from 20th Century Fox's previous X-Men projects actually makes sense when considering the Phase 5 project could be the final time this universe is ever seen on screen. It's not far-fetched to imagine Deadpool 3 will be paying homage to Fox's X-Men Universe , acting as an affectionate love letter to the franchise before it's bid farewell. This means that Deadpool 3's emulation and subversion of Wolverine's original storyline from 2000's X-Men could be perfect, as it will create a brilliant full-circle moment for Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, while allowing Deadpool 3 to pave the road for new mutant stories in the MCU's future.

- Kang's betrayal of Ant-Man in "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" was unnecessary and illogical, as he had no real motivation to break his word.
- Inconsistencies in power-swapping, the High Evolutionary's choice of creatures in the Abilisk pit, and other narrative choices create further plot holes in the MCU's 2023 releases.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has seen multiple movies and TV shows released in 2023, but many of them contain significant plot holes. The first of 2023’s movies in the MCU timeline was Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania in February, followed by Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in May. Secret Invasion was released on Disney+ in June, and followed by season 2 of I Am Groot and Loki , which came in September, and October respectively, closely followed by The Marvels finally getting a theatrical release on November 10. With such a varied slate of projects released in 2023, the MCU has contributed massively to its Multiverse Saga story arc.
Unfortunately, the MCU TV shows and movies released in 2023 came with a few narrative issues. With lots of time manipulation, shape-shifting, and extreme quantum conundrums occurring throughout the MCU, there were also plenty of continuity errors and complex, unexplained plot points. The resulting plot holes may not be overly important in the grand scheme of the franchise’s story, but they have certainly made the MCU movies and TV shows released in 2023 much less coherent.

Kang Didn’t Need To Betray Ant-Man
Ant-man and the wasp: quantumania.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania saw its heroes battling Kang the Conqueror, who was fighting to escape from the Quantum Realm. After forcing Scott Lang to help him escape, Kang betrays the hero, resulting in a big final battle that seemingly costs the villain his life. However, there was no real need for Kang to betray Ant-Man – he had already explained that he had killed multiple Avengers stronger than Scott, so he didn't need to take him out of the equation, and there was no real motivation for Kang to break his word and not return Cassie to her father. Kang’s illogical choice to betray Ant-Man proved a massive mistake, and it never really made sense in the first place.
The High Evolutionary’s Abilisk Pit Makes No Sense
Guardians of the galaxy vol. 3.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 contains a callback to earlier in the MCU’s movie timeline by including another appearance of the fearsome-looking Abilisks. When the High Evolutionary drops the heroes into his Abilisk pit to kill them, Mantis explains that the creatures eat batteries instead of humans, and are attacking out of fear. Considering the High Evolutionary is a being who prides himself on knowing the qualities and evolutionary nature of every creature, this creates a minor plot hole regarding the Abilisks. It would appear that the High Evolutionary would know of many species far more bloodthirsty and lethal to keep in his death pit, but he instead opted for one that doesn’t eat living beings.
Why Did Star-Lord Not Have His Helmet?
The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 ending sees Star-Lord exit the team and allow Rocket to take over as its leader. However, this comes about after a near-death experience when Quill leaps from the High Evolutionary’s ship and is briefly caught in the vacuum of space. Though Adam Warlock saves his life, there’s no logical reason that it should have been necessary, as in previous movies Star-Lord always had his trusty helmet to hand - and it simply compressing down to a tiny, easy-to-carry form behind his ear when not in use made it hard to imagine him ever not having the item to hand. There’s nothing in the film to explain why Quill suddenly decided to stop wearing or carrying his helmet, making its absence seem like a small but nagging plot hole.
Captive Humans Wouldn’t Survive In New Skrullos
Secret invasion.
Secret Invasion introduced a faction of Skrull rebels living in the radioactive ruins of Chernobyl in a city called New Skrullos. It’s revealed that they routinely capture humans, store them in the city, and access their memories before taking on their forms and heading out into the world to spark war among humanity. The problem with this is that New Skrullos is filled with a level of radiation lethal to humans , meaning that anyone held in the Skrull facility would almost certainly have suffered from extreme radiation sickness if not a swift and unpleasant death - and even if their containment pods somehow protected them when in use, their transport in and out of the location would have still been enough to damage every human involved.
Leaving Skrull Bodies Behind Would Have Exposed Gravik
There’s also another Secret Invasion plot hole in the show, which boils down to carelessness on the part of the show’s Skrull rebels. Throughout the course of the show, the villain Gravik is shown killing multiple characters, both human and Skrull - and other Skrulls are shown falling to other individuals throughout the series. However, many Skrull bodies are left behind, which would effectively undermine Gravik's entire plan . Given the whole point of Gravik's scheme is to convince multiple world powers to go to war with one another, leaving Skrull remains to tip them off as to the true nature of the threat makes his entire plan redundant, and could have easily meant the war on non-human life on Earth could have begun far before Secret Invasion 's ending.
The Inconsistent Power-Swapping
The marvels.
In The Marvels , one of the key plot points involves its heroes swapping places when using their powers. However, the way The Marvels’ characters swap places is inconsistent throughout the entire movie, with the film seemingly breaking its own rules on multiple occasions. The phenomenon is explained as the heroes being teleported to each other’s location when using their powers, effectively swapping where they are. However, there are also occasions in the film where using their powers does not cause a switch , making the plot device seem overly convenient thanks to a lack of continuity.
MODOK's Hero Turn Made No Sense
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania brought back Ant-Man ’s villain Darren Cross, albeit in a new form. After his Yellowjacket suit malfunctioned and sent him to the Quantum Realm, Cross became MODOK, and he acted as Kang’s enforcer. The film’s final act sees MODOK unexpectedly help the heroes defeat Kang, claiming he considered Scott a friend all along. The revelation makes no sense, especially considering he spent his previous movie attempting to kill Scott and Cassie, and was willing to kill them earlier in Quantumania . The moment is clearly written for laughs, but it's illogical considering the character’s past .
Why Didn’t The Skrulls Just Replace The President?
Secret Invasion follows the complex plan of a group of radicalized rebel Skrulls who intend to use their shapeshifting powers to incite a nuclear war on Earth. It’s revealed that they have infiltrated the US President’s inner circle, where they have subtly sowed the seeds of discontent to further their goals. Considering their abilities, however, there’s a far simpler solution: they could have replicated President Ritson and began firing nuclear warheads themselves . It’s a less elegant plan, but it’s far easier, making Secret Invasion ’s story seem like one big plot hole, as the Skrull faction already had access to Ritson and could have pulled this off from the very start of the show.
Time Freezing Breaks Loki’s Entire Story
Loki (season 2).
Loki season 2 continues the story of the titular character and his involvement with the TVA after the death of He Who Remains in the season 1 finale. Season 2 has Loki develop an ability to freeze time - shown to be shared by He Who Remains - but that creates countless plot holes across both seasons of the show. If He Who Remains could freeze time all along, there was no need to allow Sylvie to kill him and Loki to inherit his position, as he could simply have frozen time, killed them both, and continued his work. The addition of time freezing practically broke Loki ’s continuity , creating major plot holes across the show and the MCU.
The Passage Of Time In The Quantum Realm
The Ant-Man movies have each featured mentions of or reveals about the Quantum Realm, but Quantumania finally saw it properly explored in the MCU. There were already problems with its handling of quantum time dilation, but the sequel only worsened the issue. Janet Van Dyne aged normally during her 30 years in the Quantum Realm, whereas Scott’s five hours there were five years in the real world. This is what enabled Endgame ’s time travel, although for Quantumania , the time dilation was seemingly no longer an issue. Sadly, the 2023 film only continued to expand one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe ’s biggest ongoing plot holes.

The Real Reason Pro-Donald Trump Film Was Removed From Amazon
A source has told Newsweek of the real reason The Plot Against the President , a pro-Donald Trump documentary, was r ecently removed from Amazon's Prime Video streaming platform —and it has nothing to do with politics.
Released in 2020, the 90-minute film follows the "true story of how Congressman Devin Nunes uncovered the operation to bring down the President of the United States," per a summary of the documentary that remains visible on Prime Video.
The Plot Against the President is based on the book of the same name that was written by investigative journalist Lee Smith, who had access to Nunes.

According to Smith, popular opinion is that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election but it was not Moscow, but the "deep state" targeting Trump and Americans, that did the real damage. Nunes, who was chairman of the House Intelligence Committee at the time, "uncovered the operation to bring down the commander-in-chief," a description of the book states.
On Wednesday, Breitbart reported that the documentary had been removed from Prime Video "without explanation." Newsweek verified that searches for the film either bring up no results, or a notification stating that the "video is currently unavailable to watch in your location."
In a statement to the news outlet, Amanda Milius, who produced and directed the film, accused Prime Video of being "embarrassed" by the film's popularity.

"In my opinion, Amazon was embarrassed that this film they had no idea about, and probably ideologically disagree with, ever did so incredibly well on the platform, even if it made them a lot of money," she said.
The report sparked outrage among a faction of conservatives on X, formerly Twitter , where there was a widespread suggestion that Amazon was attempting to suppress the film. Joshua Steinman , a former deputy assistant to Trump for national security affairs, accused Amazon of having "banned" the documentary from its platform.
"Remember kids, Amanda Milius's Plot Against the President was THE TOP DOCUMENTARY of 2020, and NOBODY wanted to talk about it," Steinman wrote. "No media coverage. No fawning profiles ('Top Female Director!') Silence. And you wonder why Amazon banned it just a few days ago..."

However, a source with knowledge of the situation told Newsweek that Prime Video had no issue with The Plot Against the President itself ; it was one of several titles that had recently been withdrawn from the platform because of a breach of contract issue with an agency that provided the film. The source added that there is currently ongoing litigation with the provider.
It has not been possible to clarify whether Milius had been informed of this at the time of the film's removal. Newsweek has contacted Milius via email for comment.
Milius, daughter of Oscar-nominated Apocalypse Now screenwriter John Milius, took to X on Wednesday to announce that the documentary is now on alternative platforms in light of its removal from Prime Video.
"We would like to announce that The Plot Against the President has been released @OnLocals & @rumblevideo as of tonight for Thanksgiving day & beyond," she wrote, sharing the corresponding links with X users.
Following his election in November 2016, Trump, who is the 2024 Republican presidential nomination front-runner , faced repeated accusations that his campaign was either linked to or compromised by the Russian state.
The 2019 Mueller report, produced by Special Counsel Robert Mueller , said Moscow had interfered in the 2016 election "in sweeping and systematic fashion." However, it "did not establish that members of the Trump campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government" in these efforts.
In 2022, a lawsuit filed by Trump in Florida against British former intelligence officer Christopher Steele, who compiled the 2016 Steele dossier , Hillary Clinton , the Democratic National Committee and 25 other people alleging that they conspired to undermine his 2016 campaign by spreading false information about his ties to Russia, was thrown out by a federal judge.
