After 5 release date, trailer and all you need to know about After Everything
The final chapter for Tessa and Hardin has arrived.
After 5 runtime: How long is After Everything?
After 5 trailer: watch the after everything trailers here, after 5 plot: how does after ever happy ending set up after everything, after 5 cast: who's coming back for after everything.
After Everything has finally arrived to tell the "final chapter" of Tessa and Hardin's dramatic love story.
The fifth movie in the popular After series, adapted from Anna Todd's book series, picks up on the surprise cliffhanger ending to After Ever Happy which confirmed we were getting a surprise extra movie.
So even though After Everything is now seemingly the final movie in the series, at least we've had one extra movie with Tessa and Hardin. (We're still waiting to hear if the planned prequel and sequel movies are happening.)
With the movie now hitting cinemas, here's everything you need to know about After Everything .

After 5 release date: When can we expect After Everything?
As mentioned above, After Everything 's US release date has arrived with the movie receiving a special two-night-only event in US cinemas on September 13 and 14.
Like with the other movies in the series, After Everything will come to Netflix in the US, but you'll be waiting a little while. After Ever Happy was released in September 2022 and landed on Netflix US on Christmas Day 2022.
In the UK, After fans have to wait until October 3 for the final movie to arrive on Prime Video , but at least you'll then be able to rewatch it again and again.

Ahead of its US release, After Everything was confirmed to have a runtime of 95 minutes or one hour and 35 minutes if you prefer.
That makes it the shortest movie in the After series to date.
The first teaser for After Everything was released in December 2022, but the brief footage was focused on Hardin without Tessa in sight.
We see Hardin talking to his parents and struggling to move on from Tessa as he sets about writing his next book. "I keep on trying to write and every time I do, everything just ends up going back to Tessa," he admits.
His parents' advice is to get some distance to make peace with their relationship being over, so we see Hardin book a flight to Lisbon. What's the betting he runs right into Tessa there? Watch the teaser below if you haven't seen it yet:
The full trailer for After Everything arrived on May 1 and showed more of Hardin's trip to Lisbon – where, it seems, he'll end up running into Tessa.
He also meets up with Natalie (played by Sex Education star Mimi Keene) who, it seems, is the same Natalie referred to in the books as Hardin's previous partner who he humiliated by filming them having sex without her consent.
Maybe Hardin will learn the error of his ways this time?
Check out the trailer below if you missed it above:

We're about to go into some spoilers for After Ever Happy , so look away now if you haven't seen the movie yet.
Unlike the book it's based on (which ends with a flash-forward where Tessa and Hardin have two children), the fourth movie ends on a bleaker note as Tessa and Hardin aren't together.
Their final break-up comes when Tessa finds the book that Hardin has been writing, called After , about their relationship. She doesn't want her life published for everyone to read, but he tells her it's too late as it's being released.
Tessa says it's finally over for them, but she still can't stop herself from dropping into a reading of Hardin's book. She leaves after she sees Hardin looking at another woman. He spots Tessa just as she's leaving, but continues with his reading and the last shot we see is of Tessa walking off into the rain.
Has Hardin moved on with somebody else? A fan theory argues that maybe this random woman is just pretending to be Tessa, a marketing ploy from Hardin if you will.
The fifth movie will pick up from this open ending and we imagine it'll see Tessa and Hardin get back together (eventually), building up to the finale of the book where they live happily ever after.
In the book, there are multiple time jumps to tell the end of Tessa and Hardin's story, so there's plenty of scope for the fifth movie to fill in the gaps and give us plenty more drama on its way to a happy ending.
Before the surprise announcement of the fifth movie, we knew that director Castille Landon was working on two more After movies. One was set to be based on the Hardin-focused prequel Before and the other was to be centred on their children.
"Emery, Auden, and Addy are quite beloved by the fans. We've all gotten a lot of inquiries about what happens with the kids," Landon told Teen Vogue .
"It's really amazing actually to see how interested the fanbase is in those characters, even though they are really only superficially introduced in the books. People have latched onto them because of their love for Hardin and Tessa."

We don't yet know if either of those movies are still happening as a result of the unexpected extra After movie.
It's possible that the fifth After film replaced one of those planned movies, but there's been no confirmation either way yet.
Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin will be back as Tessa Young and Hardin Scott, respectively, as it wouldn't be an After movie without them.
However, it's been rumoured that Tessa will have a reduced role in After Everything with fans speculating that her scenes in the trailer were filmed for After Ever Happy , and recycled for the new movie.
The teaser confirmed that Louise Lombard and Stephen Moyer were back as Hardin's parents Trish Daniels and Christian Vance, and the full trailer added some additional names for the finale.
As mentioned above, Sex Education star Mimi Keene is playing Hardin's former partner Natalie, but she's not the only newcomer, as Benjamin Mascolo is playing Sebastian and Aya Ivanova is playing Emery.
The likes of Chance Perdomo's Landon and Kiana Madeira's Nora (who's now moved in with Landon) are also back for the final chapter.
After Everything is released in the US on September 13 and in the UK on October 3 on Prime Video.

After Everything: Release date, cast, trailer and more
The series isn't over!

After fans, get excited as a fifth film is officially here! Following on from the four existing movies, Hardin and Tessa are back on our screens in a surprise instalment titled After Everything .
As there are only four books in the franchise (plus the prequel, Before ), news of a fifth film came as a surprise for fans. So, from the release date to cast and more, here's what we know about After Everything.

When will After Everything be released on Prime Video?
The final instalment of the After series was available to watch in US cinemas from 13th September, but the UK had to wait a little longer before we could watch the film.
The good news is, After Everything is finally out and available to stream in the UK! It was released on Prime Video on 3rd October 2023.
After Everything trailer
In the teaser, Harden is an author in London who is trying to work on his new book. He goes to Lisbon to see Natalie Kingsley (played by Mimi Webb), a girl from his past who he used to win a bet, as well as actor Benjamin Mascolo, a mysterious enemy.
We then see him spending time with Tessa, telling him he's not ready to move on, and then there's an altar! And a wedding! Could this mean what we think it means?
When was After 5: After Everything confirmed?
We got news straight from the horse's mouth, with Hardin actor Hero Fiennes Tiffin sharing details via a video posted to the official After Twitter account on 24th August 2022. And even better: Hero also confirmed that the movie has already finished filming!
He told fans, "I am so excited to finally share some massive news with you all. We have just wrapped filming on the fifth After movie. I can't tell you too much about it just yet, but I can tell you that it will be called After Everything and I cannot wait for you all to see it."
Who will star in After Everything ?
Hero's announcement serves as confirmation of his return for After Everything , while co-star Josephine Langford (Tessa) was also tagged in the announcement on Instagram . Of course, After wouldn't be anything without Hessa, so having Hero and Josephine back is to be expected.
But fans were still a bit confused over Josephine Langsford's role in the movie, as she barely appears in the trailer , and much of the focus is on Harden and Natalie's past.
Meanwhile, the new trailer for After Everything reveals Mimi Keene from Sex Education has joined the cast as Natalie, someone from Harden's past who has moved to Lisbon.
What will After Everything be about?
The first four After films were all pretty well-aligned with Anna Todd's corresponding novels of the same names. However, After Ever Happy (number four) is where the book series ends, meaning After Everything won't be based on one release in particular.
Still, we very much expect After Everything to continue Hessa's story, with fans are hoping we'll get a glimpse into Hardin and Tessa's future too.
There is, of course, another book that's yet to be turned into a film and that's the series prequel, Before . Fingers crossed we'll see a Before adaptation too, then!

We Finally Have a Trailer for "After Everything," the Fifth "After" Movie
"Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links."
Hardin and Tessa's love story isn't over yet! Fans of the After franchise will be returning to the theater this fall with the newest installment in the romantic saga.
Back in August 2022, leading man Hero Fiennes Tiffin told us a new movie was on the horizon — and now we finally have a trailer, release date, and details about it. Hero's announcement arrived about two weeks before the theatrical release of After Ever Happy , the fourth film in the After franchise .
Below, find out everything we know (so far) about After Everything , from plot details to cast news, and more.
Is there a release date for After Everything ?
Yes! The newest chapter in the After franchise will premiere in theaters beginning September 13, 2023 .
Is there a trailer?
Yup, Voltage Pictures dropped the trailer on YouTube in May 2023 and we've already watched it approximately 8 zillion times.
Who stars in After Everything ?
Hero reprises his role as Harden, and Josephine will return as Tessa.
Meanwhile, earlier this year, the After franchise’s official Instagram confirmed that actress Mimi Keene and actor Benjamin Mascolo joined the After Everything cast.
Mimi stars in the role of Natalie, while Benjamin portrays a character named Sebastian.
View this post on Instagram A post shared by After Movie (@aftermovie)
Further details of their roles were not revealed, but in one post, we see Sebastian and Hardin on a beach. Sebastian has a visible frown on his face as he looks down at Harden, who smiles and looks off into the distance. Hmmmm.
What will After Everything be about?
Hardin, struggling with his split from Tessa, is trying to finish his next book after getting pressure from his publisher. He books a ticket to Lisbon, Portugal to go after her.
FYI, there is a fifth book in the series by Anna Todd, titled Before , which is a prequel to Hardin and Tessa’s love story.
Before (5) (The After Series)
There’s also a next-generation sequel in the works, which will follow Tessa and Hardin’s children, Emery and Auden, and their cousin, Addy. But although the characters of Tessa and Hardin will appear in the film, they won’t be played by Hero and Josephine, given the time jump.
Is this the last After movie?
Although the trailer mentions this is "the final chapter," there is still a prequel and sequel film in the works. It’s unclear if After Everything will be the last Hessa film that takes place in modern day, but no matter what, there are still two more films in the After universe on the way.

After everything (2023): release date, cast, story, trailer & everything we know.
After Everything is expected later in 2023, and exciting details about the fifth film in the romantic After series have already been revealed.
2023's After Everything is the fifth film in the romantic After franchise, and it's the most anticipated installment yet. Based on the series of novels by author Anna Todd, the After film franchise launched in 2019 with the release of the eponymous film which began the turbulent relationship between Tessa and Hardin. After Everything , like its predecessors, promises plenty of interpersonal drama and steamy romance while offering a bit of closure as well. The film is billed as the final chapter in Tessa and Hardin's epic love story, though that seems highly unlikely considering its tremendous success.
The series has been a massive box office draw from the outset, with 2019's After grossing an impressive $70 million against a minuscule budget (via Box Office Mojo ). While each sequel saw a decline in box office dollars, the appeal of the ongoing romantic story has been strong enough to carry the series through five movies. Though every movie in the After franchise has been summarily lambasted by critics, with not one earning a Fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes, the fanbase hasn't wavered. As such, 2023's After Everything will likely be the beginning of a new chapter for the franchise and not its last act.

After Everything Latest News
News about the fifth film in the After series had been trickling out since the release of 2022's After Ever Happy , and it was clear from the start that After Everything would release in 2023 because the series has been on a movie-a-year clip since 2019. However, the biggest update regarding the newest After movie came in April 2023 when a trailer was dropped on US and UK audiences who attended screenings of the 2023 romance film Beautiful Disaster . As reported by Just Jared , the first look was the only way to see the trailer until it was released online a month later.
After Everything Release Date
There was never any doubt that After Everything would see a 2023 release, and the only question was exactly when the fifth movie would premiere. However, along with the trailer, the film's release date was also revealed at the Beautiful Disaster screenings, and After Everything will release on September 13, 2023 . A September debut is in keeping with the history of the series, and every installment in the After series has been released in the fall except for the first movie, which dropped in April 2019.
Though no specifics have been revealed regarding After Everything 's release, it will likely follow a similar trajectory as its predecessors. The September 13 release date indicates when the movie will premiere in theaters in the United States, and its streaming release will probably come later, much like the previous films. Netflix has handled the distribution for all the After films following the 2019 original, and there's no indication that things will change for After Everything . 2022's After Ever Happy opened to over 1,000 theaters (via Box Office Mojo ), and the series' so-called final chapter can be expected to see just as wide a release.
After Everything Cast
Since all the recasts made in After We Fell , the roster of ensemble talent in the After series has remained largely consistent from film to film. 2023's After Everything is no different, and the cast represents an eclectic mix of series mainstays and newcomers to the franchise. First and foremost, Hero Fiennes Tiffin will return as the brooding and troubled Hardin Scott, and he will be joined by his long-time co-star Josephine Langford back in her familiar role of Tessa Young. Additionally, series regular Stephen Moyer will be back as publisher Christian Vance as well as Louise Lombard as Trish Daniels, Hardin's mother.
RELATED: After We Fell Cast & Character Guide
Two major newcomers to the cast of After Everything helped to drum up even more interest in the popular series as Mimi Keene ( Close , East Enders ) was announced to play Hardin's former flame Natalie, and Benjamin Mascolo ( Time Is Up ) was tapped to play Sebastian. Though the nature of their roles is still somewhat unknown, the official Instagram page for the movie series did reveal production photos of Sebastian and Natalie from the film. Additional new cast members include Cora Kirk as Freya, Rosa Escoda as Kat, Jessica Webber as Maddy, and Ella Martine as Naomi.
After Everything Story Details
While the events of the After series have all focused on the relationship between Tessa and Hardin, the plot of After Everything seems to add a bit more than the previous movies have. Following their split up in After Ever Happy , Hardin and Tessa go their separate ways, but the separation weighs heavily on both of them. In order to win her back, Hardin travels to Lisbon, Portugal but soon reunites with figures from his past that threaten to jeopardize his already rocky relationship. On top of that, Hardin also struggles to finish his next book, and receives pressure from his publisher to meet the deadline.
After Everything Trailer
With the exception of those who attended the screenings of Beautiful Disaster in April 2023, the public at large had to wait until May to get their first glimpses of the fifth After movie. Debuting on the YouTube page of the film's production house, Voltage Pictures, the trailer for After Everything offered a compelling first look at the 2023 romance epic. Focusing mainly on Hardin's struggles, the sneak peek showed off the movie's grand change of scenery and also introduced Natalie as a new element to the romantic chemistry. The trailer also introduced a physical conflict between Hardin and Sebastian, which obviously ties into the former's sordid past.
Is After Everything The Last Movie?
With the trailer and promotional material calling 2023's After Everything the last chapter, the question has arisen whether the franchise is actually ending with the fifth movie. Though After Everything will conclude Tessa and Hardin's main love story, the franchise will live on in spinoffs and additional movies. All the way back in 2021, Teen Vogue cracked the story that the series had grander designs beyond the first five films, and definitively announced a prequel and sequel taking place outside the movie series timeline.
The prequel film, which is loosely based on the novella Before by Todd, will give a bit more information about Hardin's backstory before he met Tessa, and will likely tie into the events of After Everything . The spinoff sequel will push the timeline forward and follow the lives of Tessa and Hardin's children, though much is still unknown about both upcoming films. Even as the main series comes to a triumphant and romantic conclusion, it is clear that the world created by Todd will live on far beyond the events of 2023's After Everything .

The film finds Tessa and Hardin living separate lives after Hardin published his revealing book without her knowledge. Alone in England, Hardin retreats into drinking and other harmful habits. To make things worse, he's suffering from writer's block and may have to return his sizeable advance if he doesn't finish a new manuscript, soon. Rather than give in to his demons, Hardin starts to realize that the only way to move forward--and have any chance of winning back Tessa--is to right wrongs from his past. He travels to Portugal to visit Natalie, a woman he once treated terribly. By spending time with Natalie and realizing she has moved on, Hardin is finally able to forgive himself and envision a bright future with the woman he loves. Meanwhile, back in the States, Landon and Nora prepare for their upcoming wedding--where Tessa and Hardin will be in attendance. Can the couple who have been through it all forgive each other and make the ultimate commitment?
